This is such a special piece. I've been thinking about it, on and off, since I read it a couple weeks ago.
So far I've actually loved how the show's handling Kurt and Blaine's current arc, but I'm still nervous they're eventually going to tire of all this slow, patient character growth shit and slap a there-I-fixed-it bandaid on Blaine and call him done. This story is such a gorgeous antidote to those fears. You're so careful with him, and kind, and wise. Every small triumph feels fought for, earned, and like it has a chance of sticking.
My favourite moment was when Kurt finally invited him to bed, and he turned him down. There's so much fanfic out there about two characters who are unable to resist each other, no matter what taboos are in the way -- age gaps, professional conflicts of interest, significant others, or just garden variety qualms/mental unpreparedness -- that one of my biggest kinks these days is...restraint.
