"Actually," says Blaine, "you always deserve a pick-me-up."
Awww, this is super sweet.
"Finn, Puck, Sam, me – Mr. Schue, even, I think – we all want to be men. We want to be grown up. We want to be fearless. We want be confident, and to be ourselves, and not to care so much what people think." Blaine lowers his hand to hold on to Kurt's. "But we're all scared little boys compared to you."
He doesn't want their love tarnished by other people's reactions.
But Kurt has a tendency to love people in spite of and because of their flaws. Just because you care about someone doesn't mean that they're always what you need.
I think you've got such a great handle on Kurt. He's got such a capacity for love and he's truly able to let the people in his life be who they are, flaws and all, and still be there for them.
To see them all now, you never would have known that they had spent half the day fighting with each other. It's all cuddles and sweet words and sentimental stories now, the insecurities of the day washed away.
Puppy piles! It's nice to ND when they're being sweet to each other.
Mr. Schue is the exact teacher that Finn needed, and Rachel needed, and Puck needed. And he's close to the exactly right thing for Mike and Rory and Sam, and maybe Quinn.
Today, that's enough.
And wow, I'm actually feeling decent towards Schue. It's hard to remember that he did create a safe space for these (intentionally or not doesn't matter) instead of focusing on his fails. Although, like Kurt, I wouldn't vote for him :P The scene with Señor Martinez was lovely.
(I still haven't watched last week's eps but I feel certain scenes will go over smoother now I've read some fic.)
